Daddy, can you believe this day is here?

What thoughts go through Dad’s mind as he gets a first look of his daughter in a wedding dress? What does he see? The angel wrapped in pink coming home from the hospital? The little girl playing dress up in mommy’s clothes…dancing together her feet on his?

You know the minute he laid eyes on her, held her…that his heart was wrapped lovingly in her tiny fingers.  At some point he probably commented to Mom; “Someday she’ll have a wedding.” He probably never thought how fast that day would come.

As a wedding photographer, I find it impossible not to empathize with those that I am photographing. To place myself in their shoes, to think about their emotions and try to capture that moment. So I find myself throughout the wedding day on an emotional roller coaster and I gotta tell you it’s a great ride!
