He proposed…”What would she say?”

Jessica + Alex | Engaged

Westin Diplomat Resort | Lincoln Road

According to Jewish tradition, 40 days before a child is conceived, God has already decided upon that child’s soul-mate. But just because a match is made in heaven you still have to go out and find the one you were meant to be with. In Judaism there is a word that perfectly describes this match. That word is beshert.

When Alex met Jessica, in that instant he knew his search was over; that he had met his beshert.  “The first time I met her, my heart was pounding and my hands were sweating. I remember thinking to myself how beautiful she is. The evening was amazing–I can’t remember what we talked about, but I remember looking at her for hours. We ended the night with a kiss and exchanged emails. It was our first meeting, and our first kiss.” Beautiful!

It wasn’t long before Alex knew that he was sure. Alex visited Jessica’s parents to ask for permission to marry her! I think this is so cool!

Picking up Jess from work that day was nerve racking for Alex. He had already decorated their apartment with 200 roses! In white and red roses petals, the question “Will you marry me?” was spelled out on the bed.  “What would she say? How would she react? Would she like the ring?” At the same time Alex was hoping that Jessica wouldn’t notice the ring box in his pocket!

Jessica walked into the bedroom and it hit her. “I was shocked.  I think I stopped breathing for a few seconds! I turned around, and he was down on one knee, with a ring. He said, “You are my queen and my love. Will you be my wife?” I think I actually said, “Are you kidding me?!”, before I said, “Yes!”.

Jessica and Alex will be getting married later this year at the beautiful Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood. I am so excited to have met this amazing couple and I am really looking forward to photographing their South Florida wedding!

When Jessica saw her photos she sent me this wonderful note: “They are gorgeous. I’m so happy with them. Roy, thank you so much for all of the time you spent with us on the day of the shoot, it was a really fun experience.” I had a great time getting to know these two soul-mates and can’t wait til December!

Ceremony and reception to be held at the Westin Diplomat Resort.
