Starlight, star bright, first Bride I see tonight…

I so enjoy the first look, that moment when our couples see each other for the first time. That moment as described by so many couples as exciting and yet very calming that finally you’re together. Vanessa’s expression really shows the feeling that she truly is in the arms of the love of her life.

This is a beautiful image of the wedding bands set upon the Ketubah. Aside from the most requested photographs that should be taken at a wedding, my team and I are always on the hunt for the smallest of details. If you are planning your wedding now, I’m sure that you are putting subtle touches in place – details that you will want to remember in photographs and that are essential to telling a complete love story.

One of the most dramatic moments in a wedding is when the bride makes her entrance. All eyes are on Vanessa as her parents, in accordance to Jewish tradition escort her down the aisle where Alexander is waiting. You can’t see it here, but the smile on his face told us all how much he loves his Vanessa.

From my vantage point just to the side of the Chuppah, I’m able to capture every loving glance – every special moment. These photographs combine with the “overall” images that Ricardo took to both compliment each other and tell a more complete story. We’ll be able to create a stunning album design with images like these.

I found this moment during the toast. The way they are looking at each other with joy and excitement is only part of why I love this image. If you’ve never been to the Starlight room in the Miami Beach Resort, it’s worth a visit at night. The ceiling is lighted with what has to be a million tiny lights and they reflect in all the surrounding windows of the room. It is stunning! Now look a bit closer – can you see the way that Vanessa’s hands have some movement? This little detail really reflects a joyous moment.

Raleigh Hotel Miami Beach Wedding

I’ve often observed that the personality of our couples is reflected in their friends as well as their choice of venue. So my experience photographing a young, cool, laid back couple with equally cool friends at the amazing Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach was great fun! I love feeling the vibe at a wedding; it’s the ultimate in people watching and capturing all of that great energy as well makes the experience unforgettable!

Jodi and Andy’s choice to be married at the iconic Raleigh Hotel was perfect. If you haven’t been there, you really should check out this hotel which is referred to is as, “One of the Grande Dames of the art deco era” by Conde Nast Traveler. Its an oasis of chic that exudes cool sophistication.

This image reminds me of a scene in the the “Sex in the City” genre. Gorgeous sexy women have an incredible time!

After an amazing first look, we took off for the lobby and while waiting for the elevator I looked back upon an amazing scene: a lovely bride and groom sharing an embrace. Their ceremony is just hours away – I can only imagine what must be going through their minds.

During the hora Andy did the incredible–kissing his wife Jodi while their being lifted joyously. Realize that in this moment the chairs are going up and down like crazy. I did the nearly impossible capturing the kiss!

Who’s the man!–Andy just got married and he’s on Cloud 9 happy! Once the crowd got into the penthouse it was party central and that feel of a Bacardi Mojito commercial. It was a “hot”  Miami Beach party!

La Gorce Country Club Wedding

I think it’s really important to know how my brides find me. So when I asked Aileen she said, “Ever since I saw the portraits you did of Myles, I knew that you would be my wedding photographer.” Myles is the adorable son of Kelly and David, whose wedding we had the pleasure of photographing. Gordon and David are brothers. So you begin to see the connection and it was to my great delight that I had the joy of photographing another Messinger affair!

I love eyes! It’s what I focus on, “The eyes are likened to the windows of the heart.” Without a doubt Aileen’s heart belongs to Gordon.

Aileen looks absolutely ravishing in her Paloma wedding gown and Gordon is dashing in his Zegna tuxedo.

The four brothers are as close as brothers can be. Gordon has watched his three brothers get married and finally it was his turn.

I love all the action that goes on at weddings but equally important are those moments that are a reaction to the action. I caught our stunning couple listening and enjoying a heartfelt toast.

Pretty maids all in a row dressed in white. I have no doubt that Aileen left an impression on these young ladies and their dreams of finding prince charming.

After an amazing honeymoon in the Paris and the south of France, Aileen and Gordon are now settling into married life and the joys of wedded bliss. Aileen told me, “her wedding was perfect and that she wouldn’t change a thing!” I have to agree that it was an amazing wedding. We were thrilled to be there to capture all their wonderful moments.

When I asked Julie to share how she found her “bershect” her soul mate, this quote became all the more noteworthy. Allow me to share with you what Julie shared with me.

“Mutual friends thought we would be perfect for each other…. so we agreed to be set up. After talking on the phone, we decided to meet up for a drink. One drink turned into four hours of talking and one incredible first date. Before the end of the first date, we made plans for the second, and have been inseparable ever since. We both just knew that we had found our other half. “

Well Julie and Jason shared with family and friends their love and respect for each other in a beautiful Temple Emanuel wedding in Miami Beach.

A lovely bouquet...

We had an amazing time photographing the love and exuberant energy of family and friends at Susan and Fernando’s Acqualina Resort wedding. Not only is the resort a beautifully designed and decorated treasure but it’s also located on the beach facing the Atlantic Ocean! Under a clear tent with a few raindrops, Susan and Fernando got married. A clear tent– transparent and open as the love that exists between these two that have become one. Like marriage it protects from life’s storms…protective, nurturing and one taking care of the other.

I think wedding rings and love notes go well together..don't you?

From the moment of our first meeting, I knew that this wedding was meant to be photographed by me. You see Alma & Spencer met in Ibiza…and the first wedding video I showed Alma was Cecilia & Matias’s Ibiza wedding. You may call it a coincidence…I call it destiny!

A little pre wedding dance and smooch at the Elbo Room.

A stunning ballroom at the Ritz Carlton Ft. Lauderdale makes for a very dramatic ceremony.

From a tearful first look, an exciting trip between rain clouds to the famous Elbo Room on Ft. Lauderdale beach, a beautiful ceremony…and a party that felt like Ibiza only better—their wedding was fantabulous!! (I looked up that word and it’s for real!)

What a great contrast with Alma in an exquisite Vera Wang wedding gown.

But it get’s better—two days later Alma & Spencer get dressed again and we paid Miami Graffiti and Miami Beach a little visit to take this fantastic wedding weekend to another level. Thank you to my wife-Yeni- for doing such a fantastic job with Alma’s hair!

Marissa & Scott recently celebrated their love for each other under a beautiful Chuppah in an elegant Biltmore Hotel Wedding in Coral Gables.

Their wedding was so full of emotion, love and tender moments.You can see that the parents are truly reflecting the love between Marissa and Scott…the love that these parents gave their children is now shining in their eyes.
