Miami Bridal Shower

If you were to ask Anacristina’s girlfriends, the answer is a resounding yes! Let’s start off that this is all about an amazing bridal shower with cooking and the kitchen as the theme. Check out these incredible details!

This is just too awesome! Each table centerpiece ~ a colander filled with white hydrangeas, roses and orchids topped with a chef’s hat with the name of a famous chef!

Each guest was required to bring a favorite family recipe that was then placed in this amazing scrapbook created by Ani’s Bridesmaids! TJ is one lucky guy ~ a beautiful Bride that loves to cook!

Without a doubt, Ani loves the scrapbook cookbook idea! I wonder if I could negotiate for a few of TJ’s favorite recipes? This scrapbook is absolutely stunning in presentation and creativity!

Ladies, you know when you go to a bridal shower, you’re going to play some games and as the theme would have it ~ Who can put on stockings the fastest ~ while wearing “oven mits”! LOL!!!

And laughed and cheered they did! It doesn’t seen fair ~ why aren’t there Groom Showers? Themes like fishing, sports, Home Depot ~ I think I am on to something here!

What bridal shower would not be complete without chocolate and sweets!

Well that was an amazing experience for Stella to photograph and we are so looking forward to Anacristina + TJ’s wedding next month at St Patrick Catholic Church in Miami Beach and reception to follow at the amazing Epic Hotel in Miami!

Brides  with wedding season now in full swing, I have no doubts that you are all in party mode ~ what with bridal showers, bachelorette parties and rehearsal dinners to attend. Ritz Carlton South Beach Wedding

Life quite often is referred to as a journey. A trip that will take you through peaks and valleys ~ sunny days and a few stormy ones. Fellow travelers ~ our parents, grandparents, siblings and friends share in the many wonderful destinations ~ first steps, first words, many moments that fill the scrapbook of our lives.  Then one day your humming along and you meet someone who hijacks your heart.

From the day Stacie said yes to a date with Daniel ~ to this day when they both said “I Do” is part of their life’s journey. Together they’ll travel together in this wonderful adventure we call life. They’ll no doubt have many shared experiences that will fill their hearts with so much joy that they’ll feel their hearts bursting with love.

They’ll also be together to when it’s not so easy but together they’ll be ~ a couple.

I can happily state I have been witness to over a 1000 new beginnings and with that countless hugs, laughs, tears of joy and incredible moments. Moments that with my intuitive eyes are captured and it gives me a great sense of pride and joy to have been if only for a day or two, a part of every couple’s journey!

St Patrick Catholic Church Miami Beach  |   Four Seasons Hotel Miami Wedding

And perfect it was! If you’d come to me a week before Maria and Miguel’s wedding and shared with me that the Maria would be ready early and that this wedding day would be smooth as silk, I would have chuckled and said yea right! Being that this wedding was of Cuban persuasion on both sides, I even buffered in a little time. To my surprise, they were ready early!

As moments are non stop at any wedding I knew that there would be this one moment with Dad just before coming down the aisle. Maria shared with me her thoughts: “I always thought I would be a weeping mess coming down the isle, but I was so happy to be finally getting married to my love that I forgot all my worries and was super calm. Sometimes I think that God gave me peace because Miguel and I were meant to be. Miguel had this to say: “I was taken back by the sight of my wife coming down the isle. At that moment I thought of my future, of the happiness I feel when I am with her and of the many beautiful moments we would live together in our new life.”

I love this image of Father Jesus Alberto and speaks to me of the sanctity of the wedding ceremony.

Would you believe this image is taken in valet parking of the Four Seasons Hotel Miami!? An amazing hotel with so many beautiful locations to photograph a stunning Bride and Groom! A toast to love.

Moments treasured; there was a time when Maria would be embraced by Daddy late at night soothing her as she fell asleep safe in his arms…moments that those of us parents know are fleeting and go by so fast.

The Palms Hotel Miami Beach Wedding

There is something wonderfully magical about a wedding~the anticipation of a first look~the participation of family and friends as the support you in taking that next major step in life~marriage and then the moment arrives where you kiss for the first time as husband and wife!

Jamie and David recently experienced this enchanting moment at the tropical Palms Hotel in Miami Beach.

I just love the look she is giving Ricardo as David lifts Jamie up in a moment of total joy!

Attention to detail is so important when photographing a wedding and Jamie + David had some very wonderful details and those desserts~yummy!

Miami Beach Resort Wedding

Starlight, star bright, first Bride I see tonight…

I so enjoy the first look, that moment when our couples see each other for the first time. That moment as described by so many couples as exciting and yet very calming that finally you’re together. Vanessa’s expression really shows the feeling that she truly is in the arms of the love of her life.

This is a beautiful image of the wedding bands set upon the Ketubah. Aside from the most requested photographs that should be taken at a wedding, my team and I are always on the hunt for the smallest of details. If you are planning your wedding now, I’m sure that you are putting subtle touches in place – details that you will want to remember in photographs and that are essential to telling a complete love story.

One of the most dramatic moments in a wedding is when the bride makes her entrance. All eyes are on Vanessa as her parents, in accordance to Jewish tradition escort her down the aisle where Alexander is waiting. You can’t see it here, but the smile on his face told us all how much he loves his Vanessa.

From my vantage point just to the side of the Chuppah, I’m able to capture every loving glance – every special moment. These photographs combine with the “overall” images that Ricardo took to both compliment each other and tell a more complete story. We’ll be able to create a stunning album design with images like these.

I found this moment during the toast. The way they are looking at each other with joy and excitement is only part of why I love this image. If you’ve never been to the Starlight room in the Miami Beach Resort, it’s worth a visit at night. The ceiling is lighted with what has to be a million tiny lights and they reflect in all the surrounding windows of the room. It is stunning! Now look a bit closer – can you see the way that Vanessa’s hands have some movement? This little detail really reflects a joyous moment.

Raleigh Hotel Miami Beach Wedding

I’ve often observed that the personality of our couples is reflected in their friends as well as their choice of venue. So my experience photographing a young, cool, laid back couple with equally cool friends at the amazing Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach was great fun! I love feeling the vibe at a wedding; it’s the ultimate in people watching and capturing all of that great energy as well makes the experience unforgettable!

Jodi and Andy’s choice to be married at the iconic Raleigh Hotel was perfect. If you haven’t been there, you really should check out this hotel which is referred to is as, “One of the Grande Dames of the art deco era” by Conde Nast Traveler. Its an oasis of chic that exudes cool sophistication.

This image reminds me of a scene in the the “Sex in the City” genre. Gorgeous sexy women have an incredible time!

After an amazing first look, we took off for the lobby and while waiting for the elevator I looked back upon an amazing scene: a lovely bride and groom sharing an embrace. Their ceremony is just hours away – I can only imagine what must be going through their minds.

During the hora Andy did the incredible–kissing his wife Jodi while their being lifted joyously. Realize that in this moment the chairs are going up and down like crazy. I did the nearly impossible capturing the kiss!

Who’s the man!–Andy just got married and he’s on Cloud 9 happy! Once the crowd got into the penthouse it was party central and that feel of a Bacardi Mojito commercial. It was a “hot”  Miami Beach party!

La Gorce Country Club Wedding

I think it’s really important to know how my brides find me. So when I asked Aileen she said, “Ever since I saw the portraits you did of Myles, I knew that you would be my wedding photographer.” Myles is the adorable son of Kelly and David, whose wedding we had the pleasure of photographing. Gordon and David are brothers. So you begin to see the connection and it was to my great delight that I had the joy of photographing another Messinger affair!

I love eyes! It’s what I focus on, “The eyes are likened to the windows of the heart.” Without a doubt Aileen’s heart belongs to Gordon.

Aileen looks absolutely ravishing in her Paloma wedding gown and Gordon is dashing in his Zegna tuxedo.

The four brothers are as close as brothers can be. Gordon has watched his three brothers get married and finally it was his turn.

I love all the action that goes on at weddings but equally important are those moments that are a reaction to the action. I caught our stunning couple listening and enjoying a heartfelt toast.

Pretty maids all in a row dressed in white. I have no doubt that Aileen left an impression on these young ladies and their dreams of finding prince charming.

After an amazing honeymoon in the Paris and the south of France, Aileen and Gordon are now settling into married life and the joys of wedded bliss. Aileen told me, “her wedding was perfect and that she wouldn’t change a thing!” I have to agree that it was an amazing wedding. We were thrilled to be there to capture all their wonderful moments.

When I asked Julie to share how she found her “bershect” her soul mate, this quote became all the more noteworthy. Allow me to share with you what Julie shared with me.

“Mutual friends thought we would be perfect for each other…. so we agreed to be set up. After talking on the phone, we decided to meet up for a drink. One drink turned into four hours of talking and one incredible first date. Before the end of the first date, we made plans for the second, and have been inseparable ever since. We both just knew that we had found our other half. “

Well Julie and Jason shared with family and friends their love and respect for each other in a beautiful Temple Emanuel wedding in Miami Beach.

A lovely bouquet...

We had an amazing time photographing the love and exuberant energy of family and friends at Susan and Fernando’s Acqualina Resort wedding. Not only is the resort a beautifully designed and decorated treasure but it’s also located on the beach facing the Atlantic Ocean! Under a clear tent with a few raindrops, Susan and Fernando got married. A clear tent– transparent and open as the love that exists between these two that have become one. Like marriage it protects from life’s storms…protective, nurturing and one taking care of the other.
