Temple Beth Am Miami Bar Mitzvah

I just saw Noah’s Mom the other day and to hear her describe the change in Noah as he becomes a young man is exciting.  Noah recently became a Bar Mitzvah at the beautiful Temple Beth Am in South Miami. As a Dad with three sons myself, I know how these wonderful years just fly by too quickly!

When I first met Noah, I learned of his passion for taking apart and rebuilding computers and he has the most amazing collection of old computers and and video games that you can imagine. T shirts and jeans were the order of that session and I was impressed with the handsome dude so sharply dressed on his Bar Mitzvah day!

I am very fortunate to have the honor of being able to photograph the Bar Mitzvah ceremony at Temple Beth Am Miami! It’s important to capture every moment and nuance at these wonderful events in a young man’s life and being there for the services is awesome. I just love this moment between Mom and Noah!

The Amazing Bottle Dancers created an incredible entrance for Noah that took everyone by surprise! These guys were hilarious and so entertaining! They not only brought Noah in but performed the coolest bottle dance!

A moment between Noah and Mom celebrating on a packed dance floor ~ this party was a nonstop celebration! I touched on moments and I know anyone that has chosen wisely in Roy Llera Photographers will attest to the fact that we are incredibly intuitive to the many moments that transpire in the course of an event as important as this ~ not only the obvious action but the reactions as well!

These glasses are so fun and go along with the Super Mario Brothers theme of the party decor!

The decor was in a word ~ SUPER! Karen Cohen and her Super talented team  at Always Flowers and Events created the most amazing environment!

St Theresa Church of the Little Flower Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables Wedding

Today my 7 year old, Ricardo asked me “How did you meet Mom? As I shared with him the moment that I met his Mom, it hit me that it was that moment that our legacy as a couple began, that our family as it is today started then.

When I shared with you Janessa + Eddie’s engagement session, I spoke of my excitement that these photos ~ when gazed upon by their children, grandchildren and future generations ~ how they will delight and in ways relate to their love story ~ their legacy.

To think that the story that I tell with my heart ~ will be cherished, gazed upon, will emote laughter and tears of joy! Will give both Janessa and Eddie moments to reflect on their love for each other.

My legacy as a photographic artist is present in every image, every wedding album created ~ each and every couple whose lives I have touched with my intuition as an artist ~ it’s beyond any fulfillment I have ever felt in my professional life.

I remember when we photographed this enchanting bridal portrait of Janessa ~ the excitement that I felt was amazing ~ knowing that in synch with Janessa ~ together we created awesomeness!

Not to leave out our groom ~ Eddie ~ his gaze exudes confidence, joy and the knowing that the best days of life are ahead of them both. Stunning!

Timeless ~ images that we create ~ that manana and 20, 30, 50 years from now will be cherished family heirlooms.

Eden Roc Hotel Miami Beach Wedding

I have often heard the saying that “Good things come in threes”  ~ Those three wonderful words ” I Love You” ~ “the olden days, the current moment and times to come” and in Michelle and David’s wedding of 10.10.10! What an amazing wedding this was ~ a cool couple, great families and friends ~ the timing of the ceremony with a kiss planned at Sunset ~ this affair was magical!

Planning a wedding can be an adventure ~ so many decisions ~ finding the perfect dress for you ~ what are the bridesmaids going to wear, choosing the perfect venue, the music, a floral artist that will see your vision and that’s just the tip of the iceberg ~ when it comes to finding the right photographer, to paraphrase Rihanna,  “to make me feel like I’m the only Bride in the world” knowing that every detail, every moment will be captured  ~ your moments ~ your perfect day!

Speaking of threes ~ this trio cause many a guest to delight in their adorableness and check out those black and white Converse tennis shoes! I want a pair!

David’s look assures Michelle of the love that he has for her, that he has no doubts that this is the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with ~ I noticed that during their engaging engagement session that David is Michelle rock and that together in life they will ROCK!

During the ceremony, we are always searching for those images that are within the big picture and here we found treasure! The rings have been given, the Tallit caresses them as one ~ the fringes actually touching both Bride and Groom. A final detail ~ David’s cuff links once belonged to his Grandfather ~

What a great pair of dancing shoes that David has on ~ Converse!

You can feel the excitement with this image! An amazing wedding day ~ a beginning to whatever life has to offer these two ~ together!

So much thought goes into a wedding ~ months and months of planning and the day arrives! Your taken by the excitement, non stop moments, the laughter, hugs of love and delight! There’s so much and you want to take every moment in and not miss a beat ~ so be in the moment, enjoy all you can and realize that with our photographers you’ll live those moments and many more that you were not aware of over and over again!

Mirasol Country Club Palm Beach Gardens Wedding

Weddings are a myriad of moments that continue throughout the day. From getting ready to that last wonderful dance of the evening~the feeling is similar to that of an amazing roller coaster that you never want to get off of. With Eryn and Andrew’s wedding day experience it was a ride of a lifetime~the beginning of so many wonderful things to come.

I have three sons and when my oldest, Ryan was getting ready for the wedding I remember emotions running through my heart of joy and pride. I can relate to Mom’s reaction above. You’re there helping your baby girl get ready for the most incredible day of her life and you step back and look at the most beautiful bride and it just hits you…this day is really here!

Eryn looked amazing in her Monique Lhuillier designed bridal gown! I love the way she just totally fits in Andrew’s arms. A romantic vibe is so alive in these two!

“I remember waiting to walk down the aisle and feeling really nervous, then once they gave me the go ahead to walk and I saw Andrew’s face everything went silent, I didn’t hear the music, I didn’t see anyone in the crowd, all I could see was this big smile on my almost husband’s face and I knew this was the moment that was going to change my life forever!”

“The rest was a walk in the park, I’ve never felt more confident than I did when I was reciting my vows.”

“It was truly the most magical day of my life and I’m the luckiest girl in the world!”

Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale Wedding

When I photograph a wedding it is with great anticipation that I approach such a momentous event! The passion for photographing weddings in me is ignited by the love that exists between the Bride and Groom. Combine that love with the feelings of parents, grandparents and your closest friends and I have an amazing experience to photograph!

Dad was overwhelmed by the moment of seeing Beth for the first time as a Bride. One minute they’re babies in your arms and the next she takes your arm to be given to the love of her life.

Beth and Adam chose to have a wonderful first look before the ceremony. Aside from spending so much more time with each other, you get great formals in a relaxed environment and after “The Kiss”, you’re off to enjoy cocktails  and the rest of your party without missing a beat!

What a view, what a setting! During the ceremony Stella positioned herself in a balcony overlooking the ceremony. Not only does it capture the ceremony from a  spectacular vantage point but it gives you a sense of wonder. That love has no limits, no boundaries, that it can go wherever you want it to go! Great shot Stella!

Rabbi Rothstein spoke eloquently of love, commitment and respect for each other.

Another great moment as Adam dips Beth for a fantastic finish to an amazing first dance! Again thank you Stella for an amazing moment captured!

Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables Wedding

Hi there!

I am fascinated by a great love story and how couples come together. One of my favorite brides, Nynke shared the story of how her guy,  Brian swept her off her feet : “He totally had me when he combined a really goofy way of asking me out on a date with a dance in the middle of a packed bar where literally no one else was dancing…I figured this guy was funny, outgoing, and was willing to make a fool of himself for a date with me…how could I say no?” The next thing you know four enjoyable years have passed with Brian. One day Nynke is getting a massage and the masseuse finishes and tells her to just relax and that she’ll be right back. Unbeknownst to Nynke, the masseuse had carefully placed rose petals throughout the room. Moment’s later, she feels her hand being held as Brian softly whispers  “Nynke, I want you-will you marry me?”

So with a few yeses along the way and a couple of I do’s, Nynke & Brian had a fantastic Biltmore Hotel wedding in Coral Gables, Florida. Their wedding took place on a beautiful sunny day on the back lawn of the Biltmore that was followed by an amazing reception in the Granada ballroom of this legendary hotel. Can these guys party! We had an amazing time capturing many warm wonderful moments.

Shortly after the wedding, Nynke took the time to write one of those wonderful emails that confirm why I love being a wedding photographer: “We both had the absolute time of our lives. It was a really amazing experience and you were so great Roy. EVERYONE was raving about you and kept telling me how lucky I was to have such an awesome photographer”. Thank you Nynke for this meaningful note.

I think wedding rings and love notes go well together..don't you?

From the moment of our first meeting, I knew that this wedding was meant to be photographed by me. You see Alma & Spencer met in Ibiza…and the first wedding video I showed Alma was Cecilia & Matias’s Ibiza wedding. You may call it a coincidence…I call it destiny!

A little pre wedding dance and smooch at the Elbo Room.

A stunning ballroom at the Ritz Carlton Ft. Lauderdale makes for a very dramatic ceremony.

From a tearful first look, an exciting trip between rain clouds to the famous Elbo Room on Ft. Lauderdale beach, a beautiful ceremony…and a party that felt like Ibiza only better—their wedding was fantabulous!! (I looked up that word and it’s for real!)

What a great contrast with Alma in an exquisite Vera Wang wedding gown.

But it get’s better—two days later Alma & Spencer get dressed again and we paid Miami Graffiti and Miami Beach a little visit to take this fantastic wedding weekend to another level. Thank you to my wife-Yeni- for doing such a fantastic job with Alma’s hair!
