Temple Beth Am Miami Bar Mitzvah

I just saw Noah’s Mom the other day and to hear her describe the change in Noah as he becomes a young man is exciting.  Noah recently became a Bar Mitzvah at the beautiful Temple Beth Am in South Miami. As a Dad with three sons myself, I know how these wonderful years just fly by too quickly!

When I first met Noah, I learned of his passion for taking apart and rebuilding computers and he has the most amazing collection of old computers and and video games that you can imagine. T shirts and jeans were the order of that session and I was impressed with the handsome dude so sharply dressed on his Bar Mitzvah day!

I am very fortunate to have the honor of being able to photograph the Bar Mitzvah ceremony at Temple Beth Am Miami! It’s important to capture every moment and nuance at these wonderful events in a young man’s life and being there for the services is awesome. I just love this moment between Mom and Noah!

The Amazing Bottle Dancers created an incredible entrance for Noah that took everyone by surprise! These guys were hilarious and so entertaining! They not only brought Noah in but performed the coolest bottle dance!

A moment between Noah and Mom celebrating on a packed dance floor ~ this party was a nonstop celebration! I touched on moments and I know anyone that has chosen wisely in Roy Llera Photographers will attest to the fact that we are incredibly intuitive to the many moments that transpire in the course of an event as important as this ~ not only the obvious action but the reactions as well!

These glasses are so fun and go along with the Super Mario Brothers theme of the party decor!

The decor was in a word ~ SUPER! Karen Cohen and her Super talented team  at Always Flowers and Events created the most amazing environment!

Temple Judea Miami Bat Mitzvah

I often write about the connection that I have with my clients as I believe in destiny. Each and every person that I meet has a purpose in my life and we are all connected. So when I met Abigail and she spoke of her passion for dance ~ ballet in particular, I shared with her my love for the art of dance and that I was for five years the photographer for the Miami City Ballet. As I photographed Abigail in a series of movements so many memories of my time with the MCB came flooding back and as I shared these images with Abby ~ she too got excited that I was hitting the movements just right.

Temple Judea is a beautiful Temple in Coral Gables and I love using their bronze front door as a setting for a lovely portrait of Abigail.

I was excited to see that those images from our portrait session were used so effectively by Petal Productions as part of the decor for her celebration!

As dance is a passion for Abby in life, I think that Dad took this to another level as he performed (lip-synched) his way into the hearts of family and friends! As a Dad, it’s not unusual that I will do something goofy with and for my kids at home but I just love the way that Abby’s Dad proudly performed for his daughter to the cheers and laughter of all those guests!

I think Mom was a little surprised too by this impromptu performance ~ I think these guys have put together a production company and are available to perform at your next event!

So cool...

Leo’s Temple Beth Am Bar Mitzvah was off the charts fantastic! It’s great when I can experience a Bar Mitzvah with such a wonderful young man that’s focused, mature beyond his years and has a great family behind him. Speaking of family, this is the fourth Bar/Bat Mitzvah that I have experienced with the family.

This is no prop...he really does play the bass guitar!

We started off with some great portraits weeks before the event…

Rabbi Bookman is an awesome Rabbi!

The Bar Mitzvah was at Temple Beth Am. Rabbi Bookman has a love for the youth of Beth Am and it shows with every Bar/Bat Mitzvah that I photograph at the Temple. I have been given the privilege of photographing the services as they are performed and I am truly thankful for the honor.

Leo does play bass guitar and has a fascination with the Beatles! So the band was a Beatles band…the centerpieces were guitars that were later donated. It was an amazing experience!

Has a passion for Judaism… Rabbi Bookman is a breath of fresh air at Temple Beth Am. A well known author and leader in the community. He’s also a great guy!The new sanctuary at Temple Beth Am is beautiful! I have a feeling Rabbi Bookman has a special gift with the youth of the Temple. This is my favorite image from this day…a moment between David and his great Grandmother. Flowers and decor are the creation of the incredibly talented team at Always Flowers. David has a passion for Philadelphia sports…Eagles, Phillies, Flyers… Sis, Mom, Dad and David during the horah…what’s unique is they were lifted together…as a family.
A quiet moment at the end of a long but wonderful day as David and Julie get a caricature of themselves that I am sure many years from now will give them a wonderful memory.
David…you are wise, humble and a really great kid! It was a joy sharing and photographing this day for you and your family. Thank you!
